Bellhaven Copper & Gold Inc., is a Canadian-listed (TSX-V: BHV) exploration company exploring for gold and copper from subsidary offices in Panama and Colombia. The Company’s objective is to become among the best gold-copper companies operating in Panama and Colombia by discovering, acquiring, and developing high-quality resources in a safe and responsible manner to the benefit of all of its stakeholders.
The Company's advisors, directors and highly motivated management team have decades of business experience in Panama and Colombia, a deep knowledge of the geology of mineral systems and a strong track record of discovery and delivery of value to shareholders. Business is managed by President Julio Benedetti, a Panamanian and the head of the Panama Chamber of Mines and technical efforts are led by CEO Dr. Paul Zweng, Ph.D. (Ore Deposits), a student of Marco Enaudi at Stanford University (California).
The Company’s principal assets are the advance-stage La Mina porphyry gold project in the wolrd class Middle Cauca Porphyry Belt of Colombia, an extensive concession package along a highly prospective 60 Km long trend of high-sulphidation epithermal gold prospects in the Azuero Peninsula, Panama including the late-stage Cerro Quema and advance-stage Pitaloza projects.
Exploration is presently active at La Mina, Colombia and Pitaloza, Panama. On January 4, 2010 at 100% owned Cerro Quema, Pamana, the Company announced a letter of intent with Pershimco Resources (TSX-V: PRO) to develop Cerro Quema, whereby Pershimco can earn up to a 75% equity interest in the project, through payments and project spending of US$18.5 million. Pershimco can also acquire an additional 10% interest for US$5 million.
