Julio C. Benedetti

Mr. Benedetti is a central figure in the mining industry of Panama and past President of the Panama Chamber of Mines. In the 1980's, Mr. Benedetti was involved in the discovery of the Santa Rosa and Remance gold deposits and their development, bringing Remance into production in the 1990’s. Mr Benedetti was also instrumental in in the discovery of the Cerro Quema high sulphidation–type gold deposit and its subsequent acquisition by Bellhaven and sale to Pershimco Resources. Mr. Benedetti is an alumnus of the University of Colorado and the Colorado School of Mines and is fluent in English and Spanish.
Maria Milagros Paredes
President, CFO & Director
Ms. Paredes combines experience as a finance professional with a technical background in geology. Her extensive financial experience was developed at two storied companies, Hewlett Packard and Intel. At Hewlett Packard she was responsible for leading the Enterprise Division's budget and planning activities. More recently at the Intel Corporation, she drove the valuation of technologies that would be used in future products, combining finance, risk, and strategic analysis to recommend technologies that would increase revenue while reducing Intel's risk exposure. Ms. Paredes received a B.Sc. in Geological Engineering from Universidad Nacional de Ingenieria Lima-Peru, a M.Sc. degree in Geology from Iowa State University, and an MBA from Cornell University (New York). She is fluent in English and Spanish.
Independent Director Mr. Montoya has been an active prospector and developer of gold mines in Colombia dating back to 1985, when he first discovered and then developed the La Estrella gold mine in the Colombian Province of South Bolivar. Mr. Montoya went on to discover other deposits, but none reaching the significance of the La Mina gold- (copper) porphyry deposit, which he discovered in the mid-90’s. Mr. Montoya was granted the exploration license for La Mina on May 27, 2002, which he subsequently transferred to Bellhaven. A graduate of Colombia’s National University in 1963 with a degree in Engineering (Agronomy), Mr. Montoya remains quite active in the agricultural sector with an active coffee plantation and roasting facility adjacent to the Company’s La Mina project where he has lived and worked since 1992.
Ms. Nancy Zweng
Independent Director Nancy Zweng, a sister to Board Advisor Paul Zweng, is a Managing Director of Golden Seeds, Inc., an early stage venture investment group. She graduated from Harvard College in 1976, earned a Master’s of Public Policy from the Kennedy School at Harvard in 1978 and an MBA from Stanford University in1983. She served in the U.S. Department of Energy and the Executive Office of the President under Carter and had a career on Wall Street, primarily at Credit Suisse First Boston.
Mr. Wasylyshyn is an Independent Director of Bellhaven and has been involved in the mining and exploration industry in North and South America, as well as Europe for over 30 years. As a geologist he has been involved in all aspects of underground and open pit mining and mining exploration - from grass-roots exploration discoveries through to the successful re-start and operation of the Bjorkdal gold mine in Sweden. Most recently he served as the President and COO of Gold-Ore Resources.
Mr. Driver, Chartered Accountant, is a partner with Davidson & Company, Chartered Accountants. Mr. Driver was a partner with Driver Anderson, Chartered Accounts, from 1982 until the firm merged with Davidson & Company in March 2002. Mr. Driver has been a director and officer of numerous public companies over the past ten years.
